Scene 1
Tomorrow was Kurt's 21st birthday. Needless to say, Blaine had already prepared Kurt's birthday present. A promise they had made together three years ago.
Getting married when Kurt turned 21.
Different from the last time, Blaine was confident about the proposal. In the past two years, everything went well as they carefully got into each other's life again. It was indeed awkward at first, but the feeling was gone soon as Blaine moved into Kurt and Rachel's apartment- Blaine also became a NYADA's student now. They met each other every day, getting to know each other more day by day. Even if sometimes they had fight, it wouldn't last too long- they would miss each other soon and in the next morning , they would talk like friends again, just like they had used to. Blaine was really glad distance was not their barrier anymore.
Life in New York was quite busy, but it never went boring. Now they both were in NYADA, as if life had gone back to two years ago- the time when he transferred to McKinley for Kurt and joined the Glee club. Kurt kindly led him to get familiar with the school, telling him everything he should notice: the courses, the teachers, the contests... and then he joined "Adam's Apple" with Kurt. It was fun to attend the same school with Kurt, but It was also quite challenging to survive here. Almost everyone in this school was his competitors- including Kurt, who'd already become a legend in this school. Blaine finally got why Kurt had looked so stressed when he had come to this school in the beginning, and he felt guilty for being childish and blaming Kurt on ignoring him in the past.
Kurt wore the "Klaine" ring* three months after he accepted the ring. The first time Blaine noticed that was on one Sunday morning when he had breakfast with Kurt. Kurt suddenly took the ring out of the box, wearing the ring on his middle finger, saying "Would you have a date with me today, Mr. Anderson?" And then, Blaine didn't remember what exactly happened next; he only remembered he smirked like an idiot all day long when he held hands with Kurt on the street.
So now, as their relationship was getting steady, Blaine thought it was proper to purpose to Kurt again. Maybe Kurt would refuse him, but he wasn't afraid. He's just gonna do it, and he believed Kurt would like this present, too.
Tomorrow was only 8 hours away. He couldn't wait.
*Note: The term "Klaine ring" comes from the RP Yihbey and Nikki wrote together. Since Kurt couldn't accept the ring, Blaine thought of another idea: If Kurt wore it, it meant that Blaine was allowed to woo him as a lover.
Scene 2
When Kurt woke up that morning, Blaine had made him blueberry pancakes (with low fat blueberries, of course) for breakfast, one of his favorite breakfast foods. Kurt had greeted Blaine with a kiss. He and Adam had eventually split up, both mutually deciding they were better off as friends. Blaine wasn't even brought up, but Kurt knew that part of the reason Adam was breaking things off was because he could tell Kurt was still too in love with Blaine to really focus on Adam romantically. The first week they broke up were awkward, but after that, Kurt and Adam started to become friends again. It wasn't too long after that that Kurt asked Blaine out on a date and the two got back together.
Kurt was so thrilled to have Blaine back in his life as his lover again and it was the little things like Blaine making him breakfast that reminded him that Blaine was perfect for him, despite his terrible mistake which neither really wanted to speak about anymore.
It was around dinner time (the two had gone out for fancy French food, one of Kurt's favorites) that Kurt noticed his boyfriend was acting strange. He kept fidgeting in his seat and poking nervously at his food, stirring it around on his plate but not actually eating it.
"What's wrong?" Kurt asked, "You seem....distracted."
"I'm thinking..." Blaine hesitated, but still taking out of a small black box, "about this box, " Blaine swallowed a little bit and passed it to Kurt, "Open it."
Kurt opened the box and found a beautiful ring inside. He looked up at Blaine in shock...."W-wait...is this....what I think it is???" He asked, his voice going higher at the end of his sentence in disbelief.
"Do you remember the promise we made four years ago? " Blaine smiled, " You said we'd get married when you were 21. And I think..." "Since our life in New York has settled down, and you and I has lived together for a while, maybe it's time for our relationship to move forward a little bit...become husband and husband, " Blaine held Kurt's hands, gently but firmly, "Would you marry me, Kurt? "
Kurt felt his heart leap into his throat- but not in a bad way. No, not at all. This was the moment he'd been waiting for his entire life. And truth be told, when he'd fantasized about him and Blaine singing "Come What May" together in those outfits...well, those had been their wedding outfits in his imagination. Even when they were broken up, he'd still imagine their wedding sometimes.

"Give me the ring, Kurt, let me put the ring on it, " Blaine reached out his hands, shivering.
Kurt did as he was told, his hands shaking as well. When Blaine slipped the ring on his finger, Kurt couldn't stop sobbing as he pulled Blaine in for a passionate kiss.
"I can't believe we're getting married...." he whispered when he'd pulled away, "I've waited for this day for SUCH a long time..."
Blaine smiled, "Me, too," He kissed back, hugging Kurt tightly, "Happy 21st birthday, my future husband. "
Scene 3
"What? You said 'YES' to his proposal? " Rachel's eyes opened widely when Kurt showed her the ring on his finger.
"Yeah....come on, Rachel, don't look at me like that, at least I waited until AFTER high school to accept a proposal from someone," Kurt said with a slightly judgmental tone.
"That's a mistake! I was too young to know what consequences I will have if I accept a proposal!" Rachel exclaimed, "But Finn and I know it now. It's always too soon to get married before both of your career settle down. Refusing his proposal doesn't mean you don't love him; it means you're considerate for you and Blaine's future. That's all!"
"I already lost him once, Rachel- I can't lose him again. I need to make him permanently mine." Kurt countered, then sighed. "I sound insane, don't I?"
"Absolutely, " Rachel rolled her eyes, sighing, "Look, Kurt, I know you love each other very much- I've heard THAT from your room for a HUNDRED times after Blaine moved in, and sometimes it's really distracting when I'm preparing for my HUGE projects...Oh well, "Rachel coughed when she saw Kurt's face blushed, " but how about waiting for another 2 or 4 years? Plan every part of your marriage in detail instead of getting married too recklessly...it sounds not like a bad idea, right?"
"I don't know, Rachel....what if he finds someone else in 2 or 3 years? I can't take that chance again." Kurt repeated desperately.
"If he can't wait for it, then I will say he's not the one you can marry, " Rachel held Kurt's hands, wrapping his both hands tightly, "Kurt, I'm not against you just for mere objection. I truly support you and Blaine. But... in this era, no one gets married at such a young age, and we don't know what obstacles young gay married couple may confront. What if they are really bad ones and we can't solve them? Kurt, I need you to think about it, seriously. "
Kurt nodded, sighing heavily.
"Alright, Rachel. I promise to think about it." Kurt said. And he would. Maybe she was right. Maybe he and Blaine should get to know each other again first.

It was a lovely Sunday morning. Blaine swung and hummed as he took two cups of coffee into his room. "So... what do you think?" Blaine smiled and sat besides Kurt, nervously but excitedly observing Kurt's reaction to his plan, "Will wedding in December be too rush to you? "
"I don't know, Blaine...." Kurt said in a hesitant voice..."Do you think...maybe...we're moving a bit too fast? I mean, we are still in our early 20s."
Feeling Kurt's worries, Blaine held Kurt's hands, smiling, "Kurt, I understand your concern, but I think it won't be a problem at all. What made you think that way?"
"I....you know, just...." Kurt sighs, defeated, deciding not to beat around the bush and just come out with it, "Rachel."
"What? Did she accept Finn's proposal when she was 18?"
"Yeah...she did. I don't know...I mean, she has some points, but she's also being a hypocrite But you know Rachel. She always has to put in her two cents."
Blaine sighed. He liked Rachel, but definitely not right now. "Kurt, don't you believe in me?" Blaine looked into Kurt's eyes, with a slight anxiety.
Kurt sighed and looked in Blaine's eyes. "Of COURSE I believe in you, Blaine...." Kurt thought about everything and decided to ignore Rachel's advice for right now. He and Blaine loved each other and nothing else should matter.
"You know what? Forget I said anything, okay? I was being silly. You and I are getting married, I promise," Kurt said with a determined air, grabbing Blaine's hands in both of his and stroking his knuckles.
"Kurt..." Blaine leaned closer, close enough to kiss on Kurt's lips.
Kurt smiled before closing the last few inches between them, sealing their lips together passionately.
